  • High School diploma or GED
  • "Clean" driving record
  • "Clean" criminal history
  • Dependable, honest, and willing to give your time

Below is a link to an application that can be downloaded to your computer and printed using Adobe Acrobat. If you have problems reading this file, you may pick up an application at either of our Fort Mill stations. A Completed application would include a 3 year driving history (obtain from any SC motor vehicle office) and a criminal background check (obtain from the Moss Justice Center in York).

Regular members are required to volunteer 10 hours per week. Auxillary members are required to volunteer 12 hours per month. We are staffed 24/7, 365 days per year and have a web based scheduling system for signups and shift tracking. You do not have to be a certified EMT to join our organization. The various roles we are always looking to fill include: Rescue Technicians, EMTs, or Drivers.

Once you complete the application for membership, you are required to attend one of our monthly meetings which are held the second monday of every month at out Banks Street training center (located in the old Banks Street School). After that introduction and the review of your application by our officer staff, a vote will be taken to accept you as a probationary member for a period of six months. This probationary period will give you a chance to meet our other members and staff and for them to meet you. After the six month probationary period, a vote will be taken upon recommendation for full membership.

If you have any questions, please call us or send an email to Contact@fortmillrescue.com.

To apply, please print and complete this application and bring it to one of our Fort Mill stations or to one of our monthly meetings. You must have Adobe Acrobat to read this file.
